Day 05: Something in life that gives you balance.


So I’m a day late on this but – I was sick. But I’m back at it.

So this question was difficult for me. Balance can be a difficult concept for me to understand. I tend to give my all to everything. Something in my life that has given me balance my friends. They keep me grounded. When I feel like I’m failing or falling, they are usually there to help pick me up. When I can only see the bad, they can show me the positive. My mind can take over easily. My thoughts can spiral out of control. I lose my footing. My friends bring me back down to reality.

When I first started writing this, I wanted to say I had no idea what gave me balance. I was about to write how that’s something I needed to start to focus on. While I was brainstorming, I was able to think of things that through me off balance. Then it was easy to see what put me back on track. It’s interesting to see how many things can help us in our life’s and we often don’t take the time to notice or appreciate it. Don’t get me wrong, I have always appreciated my friends. I just never noticed that they were a thing in my life that could give me balance.

  1. I completely agree. I also suffer with mental health and I find my friends and family also give me balance. I also find writing on her helps as it begins to make more sense. I’m following you as I’m sure I can relate to more of your posts as I can this one.

    1. Thank you ! I’m glad you can relate. And you’re right. I turn to writing a lot too. It definitely helps with figuring out what’s going on in this hectic head of mine.
