You think you can’t survive the pain. You sometimes don’t know how you can make it through another day. But then you do. Then the days turn to weeks, and you keep getting stronger. The pain is still there, of course. It feels like a weak pulse in your gut. It’s a constant reminder so you can never entirely forget it. But it does get easier to survive. Soon, it’s no longer surviving but living. It’s when you start taking care of yourself in all dimensions. Day by day. Week by week. When you get tired of merely surviving, please know in time you will be living again.
